How do I add the extra add-on pins if I've already pledged?

This question may depend if you are primarily on mobile or desktop, but either way I’ll be happy to walk you through!

On Desktop: - Start on the Kickstarter’s Main Page - Under Support (Reward tiers), Locate your pledge. It will be the first option and listed as “Your Selection”. - Hover over the box to see “Manage Your Pledge”, Click. - Next screen asks you to “Select Your Reward” If you are just wanting to add-on, re-select the same reward tier and click the green box, “Pledge $$” - On the “Configure Your Reward” screen, you will see the “Add-ons” and the option to “Add”! - Click all of the pins that you want to add to your pledge and the quantity. - Once added, select “Continue” at the bottom of the screen. - Confirm Changes!

And that’s it! Your pledge will adjust to reflect your reward tier and the added pins! The instructions are very similar on mobile. The only difference is how to access this manager screen.

Mobile:

  • Start on the Kickstarter’s Main page.
  • At the top of the screen, above the banner, you should see a white box. It will read, “You’re a backer! You pledged $$.” With a green box widget that says “Manage Your Pledge.” ** If you’re not at the top of the screen and are scrolling, Kickstarter will add a grey bar at the bottom of your screen that also reads “Manage Your Pledge.”
  • Click the Green/Grey “Manage Your Pledge” widget!
  • Next screen asks you to “Select Your Reward” If you are just wanting to add-on, re-select the same reward tier and click the green box, “Pledge $$”
  • On the “Configure Your Reward” screen, you will see the “Add-ons” and the option to “Add”!
  • Click all of the pins that you want to add to your pledge and the quantity.
  • Once added, select “Continue” at the bottom of the screen.
  • Confirm Changes!

Will unlocked items be re-locked if funds drop?

It will take a significant drop for us to decide that we are no longer able to fund a project. If something is labeled “unlocked!” I’m hoping to keep it that way! For example, if something is unlocked at $1000, and we drop to $900-950, I will NOT change its status.

At the same time, if the situation arises that we do lose a significant portion of our funds, I hope you’ll be understanding that our budget will no longer be able to cover costs. This would be like if something was unlocked at $1000 and we dropped to $750.

If you have any concerns before/after your pledge that might cause you to cancel (outside of financial hardship, which I totally understand) you can always send me a message! I might be able to resolve your issue or offer you an alternative!

How do surveys work?

The moment the campaign ends, I will be getting to work on putting together surveys! These surveys will be sent out to each individual tier and consist of questions like: Your Choice of Pin, and how many of each design. This survey will also confirm your SHIPPING address. Please be sure to double-check this before you hit submit. After the survey, if you have any changes to your address, please send me a message so I can update your pledge before rewards are sent out.

REMINDER: If you want more pins than what your tier outlines, be sure your pledge includes the additional cost for those pins. The survey will have a section that allows you to make comments and outline exactly what you are wanting to pay for.

Can I add items after the campaign ends?

Yes! If you decide you would like to add a pin, or add-on, after the project date ends, I will be happy to accommodate you!

Any additional payments will be made through Paypal through a custom invoice.

Any new additions will also qualify you for any of the freebies that were awarded at certain reward tiers. (i.e. Add a pin to your 25% Completion tier = 50% Completion tier rewards) NOTE: You must have been an original Kickstarter backer to qualify.

UPDATED Platinum Trophy Details

Now that we’ve added more rewards, I just want to clearly outline what the Platinum Trophy Entails. Those who pledge at the Platinum Level receive: - Original three (3) 2.5” Pins (A Father’s Love, Wandering Painters, Redemption’s Cost) and the one (1) 3” Pin (A Father’s Despair) - Add-ons: One (1) Button, Seven (7) Stickers, One (1) Wooden Pin, Three (3) Holo Stickers, and One (1) Charm of your choice. - If you would like any of the additional pins (Steel & Silver, The Courier’s Tale, or Those Who Fight) or would like to pledge for the second charm design, you will need to add those as add-ons to your pledge.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
